WiMEME, INC., Offers iPhone™ for Best Race Day Pic
Burlingame, CA (May 8,2008) - WiMEME, Silicon Valley's revolutionary mobile photo messaging start-up, is giving away a free Apple iPhone™ for the best mobile race-day picture submitted during the upcoming ING Bay to Breakers™ race. The famed annual 12K will be run May 18, in San Francisco. The iPhone winner will be announced the following day at www.wimeme.com.
"With hundreds of thousands atteending this iconic Bay Area event, it's a great way to demonstrate our service. We commemoratively brand digital photos users send from their camera -hones at outdoor events. It's simple you send a photo from an event, or near the event, you get back a commemorative photo with an anctionable offer," explained Skip Roncal, WiMEME's CEO. "In this case, you send your best race-day photo to b2b@wimeme.com and you're immediately registered for a chance to win an Apple iPhone."
Roncal' team created a uniquely themed digital frame for the photo submissions - but to see it, you'll have to send a race-day photo to b2b@wimeme.com from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. on May 18 to get your photo commemoratiively framed and sent back to your phone. Race-day pictures can be of any type; WiMEME is just looking for a really great picture, says Roncal, that captures the essence of San Francisco's Mardi Gras style race day event. In the meantime, use demo@wimeme.com to see how the service works.
Roncal and his small team recently launched their beta-test of WiMEME's game-changing patented technology. Their software brands photos sent from camera phones with commemorative digital frames, and returns that photo via email along with actionable offers; senders can also personalize messages, share with friends and online albums, and automatically organize mobile photos using an application developed on Facebook.
Roncal and co-founder David Wipper are former siebel Systems executives; the San Mateo-based company was bought by Oracle Corp., of Redwood City, in 2006. Roncal can be reached at 650-430-5769 or sroncal@wimeme.com.
"We monetize user generated content now by commemoratively branding photos and returning actionable offers. We are very interested in supporting causes like Boys and Girls Clubs of America, VFoundation, LiveStrong, 18in08, AfricanAmerican.org and many others," notes Roncal. "The best way to show off our technology is to let folks use it for free and reward their use". Today, Americans send 80 million photo messages a month, and mobile advertising is projected to grow from $1 billion to $6.5 billion by 2012. "We've developed a technology independent service to capitalize on both of these trends", he said.

WIMEME, INC., TO DEMONSTRATE UNIQUE MOBILE MARKETING SOLUTION AT FORTUNE’S iMEME CONFERENCE IN SAN FRANCISCO
Burlingame, CA (July 10, 2007) – Burlingame startup Wimeme, Inc. has been selected as an exhibitor at FORTUNE’S iMEME: THE THINKERS OF TECH CONFERENCE in San Francisco July 12 and 13. Wimeme will offer demonstrations of its mobile brand marketing service – Foto Frames – as well as its patent-pending consumer photo applications to executives and the press throughout the conference.
Wimeme is a mobile marketer whose products leverage the latest trends in social networking and wireless technology to target the millions of consumers attending sponsored events. Through its mobile brand marketing solutions, Wimeme is able to foster consumer participation in event-based promotions while simultaneously enhancing the consumer’s event experience.
Wimeme provides event-goers with unique commemorative photo images called “Foto Frames” that enable event marketers to extend their reach to attendees via the mobile channel. In addition, Wimeme is developing an on-demand mobile photo service, “Foto Skins,” that will automatically allow consumers to upload, annotate and share their photos with the push of a button.
“Our service automates many of the old tactics associated with event based marketing,” said Wimeme Founder Skip Roncal. “By utilizing the mobile channel, we have the ability to increase consumer reach and motivate consumers to purchase at the event or online – it’s a win-win for the event owner, sponsor and consumer.”
As an example, when consumers at a sponsored sporting event like a Major League Baseball game, email photos from their camera phones to Wimeme, their images are returned to their cell phones commemoratively framed with their favorite sports team logos. Brand sponsors can then use this service to deliver targeted messages or exclusive promotions to consumers at the event venue. Because Wimeme’s services are platform agnostic, marketers can capture the largest number of possible users regardless of their mobile devices.
